Reserve & Hold Policy
Q. Can I reserve a book that someone has borrow?
A. Yes, you can. When the book you have reserved is returned, you will be notified by
e-mail, and the book will be held for 1 week at the Service Counter on the 1st floor.
※ Books which show a status of “Filing” can be reserved.
※ Books which show a status of “On Order” cannot be reserved.
Q. How can I make a reserve/hold request on a library book that someone has already
borrowed?
A. Make reserve/hold requests on materials through online from the library website using
a PC or a cell phone.
1. Search for the book you wish to reserve.
2. Then click on the [Reserve] icon next to the book from the search details page.
3. You will need to enter your ID card and your password.
(e.g., correspondence students enter birthday mmdd: 1201).
4. Once again, click on the [Reserve (Y)] icon.
We will keep the book for 1 week at the Service Counter on the 1st floor.
※ Check the status of the book you reserved through online from My Library.
※ Cancel reserve/hold requests through online from My Library.
■Flow: When the book you reserved/put on hold is returned, you will be notified by
e-mail and it will be ready for pick-up at the Service Counter on the 1st floor for 1 week.
Q. How do I borrow the book I requested?
A. Come to the Service Counter on the 1st floor with your ID card or user card to borrow the
book.
You will not be able to borrow anything if you currently have overdue books or are
over the borrow limit.
Q. What happens if do not go to the Service Counter to borrow the book within holding
period?
A. It will be returned to shelves.
